Deb Gonzales-Dog Trainer
Having grown up with dogs her whole life, it was no surprise when Debbie left the corporate world to pursue her passion -- working with dogs. She kick started her career in a Veterinary office, where her compassion only grew. Inspired by her undeniable connection to the dogs, Debbie was determined to give them a voice by helping the owners see their dogs‘ perspective. As an apprentice under a well-established trainer and canine nutrition specialist, she learned from the best and soon began conducting her own private and group classes.
Debbie’s methods are humane and effective, utilizing verbal reinforcement, treat rewards and gentle corrections. You won’t find any tugging on leashes, shock collars or harsh corrections in her classes. Her techniques are fun, safe and creative. Tools range from the most high-tech devices on the market to common household items. Aware that families and dogs are unique, Debbie ensures lessons are appropriately tailored. And, known to have a ‘quick draw’, she’ll likely get your dog to stop jumping in record time!
When Debbie's not conducting group or private lessons you can find her on the beach or at a park with her dog Petey. Petey, the Pomeranian, was rescued from a puppy mill courtesy of Pet Project Foundation, and although there were over 2500 applicants for these little guys, Debbie was selected for first pick; you will always hear her say that her dog is top dog, as every owner should!
Debbie is excited to help you train your pet and turn your pet into the cherished well behaved companion he was born to be!
